Can you take calcium and zinc together?
Yes, but space them out
Yes, with space between them at higher doses; the two minerals compete for absorption.
What happens when you combine them
The catalog lists a mild interaction: at higher doses, calcium and zinc compete for uptake. Zinc's dose is small (10 to 25 mg), which makes it the easier one to displace when a 500 mg calcium dose lands beside it.
The fix costs nothing, because both already have preferred slots: zinc likes food early in the day, and calcium likes meals and splitting.
How to time it
Zinc with breakfast or lunch. Calcium with the meals that don't have zinc in them, split above the mid range. If you also take iron or magnesium, the same separation logic applies across the board; that's the bookkeeping a tracker does for you.
